Dear God,

A precious life has been taken from this Earth to be with you in Heaven. Please take care of her. Please help her family and friends to heal and know how to move on and make new memories. Help them to know that you are always there for them. Help them to learn to lean on you and to lean on the support from those around them. Help them to accept the advice and thoughts from others. And help them to let their feelings out and to not keep everything bottled up inside. Heal their pain. Let them know to trust in you. Please God, I pray that if any of these people have not come to accept you as their personal Lord and Savior that they will, before it is too late. You have not promised us tomorrow. Please help all of your newest angel’s loved ones to heal, to know you, and to trust in you, so that when their time on Earth is over, they will be reunited with their loved one and live forevermore, rejoicing together. Amen.

We Never Know

When we enter this world as babies, we never know what the future holds for us. We are never promised tomorrow. We are never promised happiness nor are we ever promised another sunrise or sunset.

Some of us grow to be rich and powerful. Some of us only live to be poor and struggling. Some live to become parents and grandparents, while others only live to become aunts or uncles, or perhaps neither. God allows some people to grow old and see the world while some lives are lived only a short time.

We, as humans, believe that when someone we love is taken from us at a young age, that they have not had the chance to be what they wanted to be or see the things that they wanted to see. That is what we believe. We have to know though, that God’s will is best.

God took Chrissy from us, knowing that her life was complete. To us, we will always think, yes, she was too young to leave us. I strongly believe that Chrissy’s young life was completely fulfilled. Look around: she has so many friends who came to know and love her throughout her life. She has an enormous family whose love is phenomenal. And to think, she had an impact, whether big or small, on every person who is here to remember her life.

I came to know Chrissy just within the past year. Never once did I hear her say anything negative and never once did I see her without a smile on her beautiful face.

I sincerely believe that Chrissy is in Heaven rejoicing. She has walked through gates of pearl and onto streets of gold. She has set up house in her own Heavenly mansion—completely decked out in John Deere, of course! She has touched the face of God and has been reunited with loved ones gone before her. Every organ in her precious body is in perfect working order. She can sing, dance, and laugh again! Chrissy is looking down on all of us. She has become a perfect angel in Heaven, where she will nevermore feel pain or sorrow.

Our time on Earth is precious. Cherish the memories you have. Show love to someone everyday. Most importantly, never forget that the Almighty God is always here for each and every one of us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. When a painful memory does come to your mind, it’s okay to cry and it’s okay to feel sad. Call on God to help you get through it. Keep your oldest, most precious memories forever in your heart, but never be afraid to make new ones.

We mourn the loss of Chrissy’s life here on Earth, but we celebrate her new, perfect, everlasting life in Heaven.
